Knitting 101 $66

Welcome to the world of yarn! Learn to cast on, knit and purl, bind off, and more. Start your first scarf, poncho or blanket in week 3!

Kids Only Knitting!$40

A knitting class--just for kids! This class welcomes children of all experience levels. Whether your kiddo wants to learn the basics of knitting (including how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off) or needs help learning a new skill or starting a new project, this class will be a perfect fit. Take your hat-making skills to the next level! Learn how to stripe using different colored/textured yarns, how to use different stitch combinations (including cable, checker, rib, and twisted rib), and how to add ear flaps, brims, pompons, and duplicate stitches. (A perfect follow-up to Hats 101!)

Crochet 101$66

Create something beautiful with only a hook and a ball of yarn. Learn the basics of crochet in this class including the chain, single crochet, half double and double crochet stitches. By the third week, you’ll learn to make a granny square and delve into pattern reading.

Crochet Amigurumi Workshop$66

Bring any crochet amigurumi (ah-me-guru- me) pattern and we will decipher it together! Instructions on "magic ring start", "jogless color changes", "slip to, chain one method" and more. Second meeting will cover sewing pieces together and face embroidery. Basic crochet knowledge needed (chain and single crochet).

Crochet Hats$66

Crochet hats are so easy to adapt! Starting from the top down with the “adjustable magic ring” method, learn the standard formula for increasing. As you work down, you’ll figure out how to apply different stitch patterns, jogless stripes, and brims to your hat. A great follow-up to Crochet 101.

Mix it up! The Continental method of knitting is where your yarn in held in the left hand and is “picked” by the needle. This class is perfect for knitters who knit “English” style, meaning the yarn is carried in the right hand and “thrown” around the needle.

You completed a sweater. Now increase your satisfaction by designing one that fits you better! Create your own pattern with elements that flatter your body type, take measurements to ensure a good fit, choose yarn that compliments your sweater’s structure, and understand how it all works together. Machine Knitting$120

Knitting on speed! This self-tailored course teaches students the rarefied skill of machine knitting. Choose to focus on learning swatch techniques for textile design or acquire the skills to design and produce your own garment. You’ll be amazed at how fast and fun machine knitting can be! No experience required and all levels welcome. Students may bring their own machines or use one available in the shop. Semi-private lessons available upon request.

Nuno Felting$60

Explore wet feltmaking using nuno and shibori techniques. Nuno felting is a quick process of combining silk fabric and merino wool roving into a beautiful scarf. Complete your scarf in just one class! You also will have to optiont o add extra texture to your piece with shibori tying techniques.

Cold feet? Not after this class! Socks are fun and easy, especially when knit on two circular needles. You'll learn the basic principles of cuff-down sock construction, from turning the heel to grafting the toe.

Introduction to Drop Spindle Spinning$50

Make your own yarn! Learn to spin roving with a drop spindle, ply, and prepare yarn for knitting or crochet. We will examine yarn structure, fiber characteristics, spinning a continuous single, and making a 2-ply yarn.

Tunisian Crochet$48

Also known as “Afghan crochet”, Tunisian crochet uses an elongated crochet hook to quickly make unique fabric(s) that can be described as a cross between crochet and knitting. You will learn how to do the Tunisian simple stitch (Tss) and more.

Class Policies

  • Classes must be paid in full at the time of registration in order to hold your spot.
  • All supplies must be purchased before the class.
  • Upon signing up for a class, any changes in attendance must be made three days prior to the start of the class. If you need to cancel a class, we will issue you a store credit for the amount paid. Unfortunately, cancellations made with fewer than three days' notice result in a forfeiture of the registration fee.
  • There are no make up sessions if one of the class sessions is missed.
  • Classes have minimum enrollments; if these are not met, we reserve the right to cancel classes with 24 hours notice. Refunds for classes we cancel will be given in the method paid.
